High Refractoriness

Magnesium bricks have high refractoriness. The refractoriness of magnesia chrome bricks could be up to 2000℃. They could be used for the lining of different industrial equipment because of their good thermal conductivity. Among them, magnesia chrome brick has better resistance to acute cooling and heat. The volume is more stable at high temperature than other magnesite refractory bricks.

Strong Resistance to Alkaline Slag

Magnesia brick is an alkaline refractory material. So magnesia brick has strong resistance to alkaline slag. It can not resist the erosion of acid slag. However, magnesia chrome bricks can also resist some acidic substances. Using magnesia brick as the lining of equipment could extend the service time and keep the stability.

Good Resistance to Thermal Shock

Mmagnesium brick has good resistance to thermal shock. However, its resistance could be improved by adding different substances. As a compound refractory material, magnesia carbon brick has the strong resistance to alkaline slag and high thermal conductivity. Magnesia chrome bricks for cement kilns are more prone to produce kiln skin. The resulting kiln skin compensates for the poor resistance to thermal shock.

Usages of Magnesium Oxide Brick

Magnesia refractory brick is mainly used for steelmaking alkaline flat furnaces, electric furnace bottom and wall, the permanent lining of oxygen converters, non-ferrous metal smelting furnaces, high-temperature tunnel kilns, heating furnace bottom and wall, glass kiln heat storage chamber lattice brick, and so on.
