High Alumina Refractory Bricks

Kerui high alumina refractory bricks are neutral refractory materials with an alumina content of more than 48%. It is made by calcining bauxite or other raw materials with a high alumina content at high temperatures. Therefore, our alumina refractory bricks have high thermal stability and a refractoriness of more than 1750℃. Moreover, they have good slag resistance and fewer impurities.

Classification of Kerui Alumina Refractory Brick

According to the different alumina content, high alumina refractory bricks can be divided into several grades. Such as special grade, Grade I, Grade II and Grade III.

  • Special grade high alumina brick: alumina content is usually greater than 80%;
  • Grade I high alumina brick: alumina content is between 75% and 80%;
  • Grade II high alumina brick: alumina content is between 60% and 75%;
  • Grade III high alumina brick: alumina content is between 48% and 60%.

Differences Between Different Grades of High Alumina Bricks

For example, special-grade high alumina refractory bricks have higher refractoriness, load-softening temperature, and corrosion resistance. They are suitable for higher temperatures and more demanding working environments. Third-grade high alumina bricks are relatively weak in performance. They are suitable for some occasions with lower temperatures and relatively loose working conditions.

The classification of grades helps to select suitable high alumina bricks according to specific use requirements, achieving the best use effect and economic benefits. Contact us to customize the appropriate grade of high alumina refractory bricks for your kiln.

Why are Kerui High Alumina Refractory Bricks Popular?

As refractory brick suppliers, Our 70 alumina fire brick contains no less than 55% aluminum and has high refractoriness, which can reach more than 1750 ℃. It has excellent properties.

  • High refractoriness: alumina is a high-hardness compound with a melting point of 2054℃. This makes fire brick alumina widely used in the masonry of various high-temperature kilns.
  • High load softening temperature: generally around 1420℃. In the process of experiencing high temperatures, Kerui’s high-alumina bricks are not easy to deform. It can support the structure of the entire furnace and ensure the stability of the kiln.
  • Strong slag resistance: it can resist the erosion of acidic slag and alkaline slag. In some kilns with acidic and alkaline media, ensure that the kiln is not penetrated by the medium.

Application of High Alumina Brick in Industry and Kilns

  • Steel industry: used in key parts such as blast furnaces, hot blast furnaces, converters, etc. It protects the kiln from high temperatures and chemical erosion.
  • Non-ferrous metal smelting industry: alumina firebrick ensures the smooth smelting process in furnaces such as aluminum, copper, and zinc.
  • Cement industry: used in rotary kilns, preheaters and other equipment to withstand the wear and erosion of high-temperature clinker.
  • Glass industry: ensure the stable operation of glass furnaces and improve glass quality.
  • Ceramic industry: provide reliable refractory protection for ceramic kilns.
